About

I’m a self-taught fine artist based on Florida’s Treasure Coast, working primarily in gouache, watercolor, India ink, and colored pencil. My work explores nostalgia, memory, vintage Florida aesthetics, overlooked objects, and the beauty of everyday life through expressive color, texture, and layered details. My background in graphic design strongly influences my sense of composition, color, and visual rhythm.

Much of my recent work centers around the gouache resist technique, which allows me to create bold, graphic imagery with weathered surfaces and an aged, almost print-like quality. I’m drawn to the contrast between saturated color and shadow, precision and unpredictability, and the way objects and environments accumulate emotional weight over time. Tropical motifs, vintage decor, textiles, and fading interiors frequently appear throughout my work. Deep black backgrounds often serve as a dramatic counterpoint to the color, texture, and pattern within my compositions.

I’m interested in creating work that evokes familiarity, memory, and emotional connection. I’m drawn to objects and environments that feel layered with personal history, atmosphere, and a sense of place.

Alongside my personal work, I also create commissioned portraits and collaborate on illustration and select design projects.
